MODENGY A-MOLY

520 ML

Dry adaptive lubricating material based on molybdenum disulfide

In process of running, solid particles of the lubricating material getting adapted to friction conditions fill in the surface microroughness cavities, and get oriented in sliding direction. In this way, a smooth brilliant surface is getting formed providing low friction coefficient and high load-carrying capacity. It is an alternative for liquid lubricants and greases under extreme operational condition.

Advantages

  • Low friction coefficient (from 0.03)
  • High load-carrying capacity (up to 3,000 MPa) and anti-scuffing properties
  • Dry lubrication causes no dust sticking-on
  • It prevents stick-slip motion
  • Operability in vacuum
  • It makes running-in easier
  • It forms a solid-lubricating surface-cohered film in process of friction
  • Penetrating properties
  • Wide service temperature range (-180… +400 °C in the air, -180… +1100 °C in vacuum)
  • Chemical inertness
  • Radiation resistance
  • Long service lifetime – is not subjected to aging

Specifications

  • Colour: grey-and-black
  • Service temperature range: -180… +400 °C in the air, -180… +1100 °C in vacuum
  • Load-carrying capacity: up to 3,000 MPa
  • Tack free time: 3 min
  • Friction coefficient: from 0.03
  • Complete drying time: 10 min

How to apply

  1. Clean the surface by using MODENGY Special Cleaner-Activator
  2. Wait for the cleaner to evaporate
  3. Install a suitable nozzle onto an aerosol can containing the coating
  4. Mix up the content of the can by shaking it for at least 3 min after you hear tapping of little balls inside it
  5. Apply the coating in a thin layer
  6. Wait for at least 3 minutes
  7. Repeat applying if necessary
  8. To clean the nozzle turn the aerosol can bottom up and do several spraying out actions directing the jet away from yourself until pure gas starts coming out
  9. Wait for at least 10 minute for the solvent to evaporate completely, and the coating layer to get dry
  10. Rub the compound into the surface by using a chamois leather, or with idle running-in to form a distributed
    lubricating film
No to be applied onto the heated surfaces!

It is used in the following typical units

  • Bearings and sliding guideways
  • Gearings
  • Threaded connections
  • Splined joints
  • Lead screws
  • Press fits
  • Locks
  • Chain gears
  • Weapons elements
  • Taps, and screw threading dies
  • Accessories in engineering processes at treating metals by cold plastic deforming (mandrelling, pressing, punching, bending, etc.)
