Antiscuffing solid-film paste

It is a concentrated paste based on finely dispersed powders of molybdenum disulfide and soft metals in mineral oil. The paste composition provides synergetic interaction of the components to achieve highest possible antiscuffing properties and load-carrying capacity.

Advantages

  • Extremely high load-carrying capacity and antiscuffing properties
  • Heat resistance
  • Sealing properties
  • Convenient to apply
  • Low friction coefficient
  • It prevents stick-slip motion
  • Good adhesion

Specifications

  • Colour: grey-and-black
  • Consistency Class: 1-2
  • Service temperature range: -30 to +450 °С (up to +600 °С at limited air access)

How to apply

For paste in 0.8 KG Cans, and 4 KG Pails

  • Clean and degrease the surfaces to be lubricated. For this purpose, it is recommended to use MODENGY Metal Cleaner.
  • Thoroughly stir the paste in the package up to getting homogeneous state (oil separation on the paste surface at storage is not a sign of defectiveness).
  • Apply the paste in a thin layer by using a brush, a rag, or a soft spatula by making rubbing-in motions.

For paste in 520 ML Aerosol Cans

  • Clean and degrease the surfaces to be lubricated. For this purpose, it is recommended to use MODENGY Metal Cleaner.
  • Keep shaking the aerosol can for at least 3 minutes after you hear knocking of a little metal ball inside it.
  • Spray out the paste onto the surface to be lubricated in a thin uniform layer.
  • After you finish applying, turn the aerosol can upside down, direct it from yourself, and push the button several times to clean through the spraying head.

Purpose

  • To make mounting and dismantling of the press fits and threaded connections easier

  • Friction units running-in

  • Protection against fretting-corrosion

  • To prevent scuffing

  • To provide minimal friction in heavily loaded pairs

  • Effective lubrication of the friction pairs inclined to jamming

  • Making metal processing easier by method of plastic deformation

It is used in the following typical units

  • Threaded connections

  • Press fits

  • Splined joints

  • Lead screws

  • Bearings and sliding guideways

  • Cam mechanisms

  • Gearings

  • Other heavy-loaded slow-speed friction units
