Works within import substitution programme have brought the first significant results – MODENGY 4002 antiscoring paste has been released.
The given lubricating material was designed and produced according to the order of the companies of oil-and-gas sphere. It has effectively replaced the imported compound for the downhole motors threads at oil-well drilling that has become unavailable for purchasing by the Russian enterprises.
The concentrated paste for assembly, running-in, and lubrication is made on basis of molybdenum disulfide. The combination of solid lubricating materials makes about 30% of the compound.
This paste has the following advantages:
- High antiscoring properties and load-carrying capacity
- Low friction coefficient (0.05 to 0.08 in the steel-to-steel friction pair, according to ASTM G99 standard)
- Wide service temperature range: -30 … +450 °С (up to +600 °С at limited air access)
- Resistance to washing out by water
- High adhesion
MODENGY 4002 is of dark-grey colour, and belong to Class 2 of NLGI Consistency. It intended to make easier mounting and dismantling of press fits and threaded connections, running-in, prevention of fretting-corrosion, protection against scuffing, friction reduction in the heavily loaded units, lubricating friction pairs made of constructive materials inclined to jamming.
MODENGY 4002 paste is available for purchase in 800 G Cans, and 4 KG Pails. Later on, release in 520 ML volume aerosol cans will be arranged.
