What are solid-film pastes?
Pastes are one of the ways to realize the solid lubrication technology.
Their base is compositions of superfine powders of solid lubricating materials (up to 60 % of the composition) distributed in base oil together with the thickener and functional additives that improve products’ properties.
Due to high percentage content of solid lubricating substances, pastes characteristics significantly exceed greases properties.
Pastes form an effective separating layer between the mated parts. The superfine particles of the solid substances fill in the surface microroughnesses caves expand in this way its support area and bearing capacity.
Such layer is capable to withstand significant loads without breaking its wholes, and protecting the parts from the direct contact and seizure.

The solid lubricating materials with layer structure such as molybdenum disulfide (see Fig.1) and graphite has unique anti-friction properties within a wide range of loads and temperatures.
Besides, the solid lubricants are notable for their chemical inertness, thermal and oxidation stability. They remain effective after a long downtime of the unit, and enable to dismantle the unit without damages if necessary.
The service temperatures range of pastes is wide enough. However, at heating only their solid lubricating components operate while the mineral base oil evaporates out of the content at +140 °С already, and their synthetic base does at +220 °С.

MODENGY 4001 is a lubricating and mounting paste for open units running being exposed to aggressive media (see Fig.2).
This paste has high performances that enable it to lubricate and protect the parts under the most adverse conditions: high anti-corrosive properties, heat resistance up to +1000 °С as a dry lubrication, low friction coefficient.
MODENGY 4001 is intended to be used in bearings and sliding guideways, open gearwheels, lead screws, threaded connections, spline joints, transmission mechanisms of the brake systems.

This product is used in mass in the clamp hook units made of high-strength steel for long-term lubrication, and to prevent fretting wear.
This paste also fits perfectly for the equipment running under conditions of marine atmosphere and increased humidity. MODENGY 4001 so called ‘marine paste’ has water-repellent properties, is resistant towards water washout, provides long protection against corrosion and oxidation.
MODENGY 4002 is a concentrated anti-seize paste based on molybdenum disulfide and mineral oil (see Fig.3).
It is intended to make easier mounting and dismantling of press fits and threaded connections easier, running-in, to prevent fretting corrosion, to provide protection against scoring, to reduce friction in heavily loaded units, to lubricate friction pairs made of constructive materials having tendence to jamming (such as stainless steel).

The paste is successfully applied by the enterprises that manufacture rail transport at wheelsets mass press-fitting; is used to increase coefficient of efficiency of the quarter-turn worm reducers, due to friction reduction.
MODENGY 4004 is a solid-film paste with extremely high anti-scoring properties and load-carrying capacity. It is based on molybdenum disulfide and powders of soft metals distributed in a mineral oil.
The given material is used at very high loads, for example, in the operations of metals processing by plastic deformation, in drilling equipment.
MODENGY 4005 is a copper thread paste intended to make mounting and dismantling threaded connections operating under conditions of high temperatures and corrosion-active media easier (see Fig.4). Its composition includes solid lubricating fillers (copper, graphite), anti-sticking components, separating agents, and functional additives.
It was designed specifically for threaded connections, and provides optimal friction coefficient for this kind of conjunction that enables to control precisely bolts tension effort.
MODENGY 4005 is successfully used at assembling flange connections of the various purpose pipelines. Application of this paste provides even tightening for all bolts of the connection, and prevents tightness loss because of joint deformation.

MODENGY 4005 paste keeps its effectiveness at heating up to +1100 °С. It has been tested in the leading research institutes where it demonstrates full compliance with the declared heat resistance.
The threaded connections treated with the paste were subjected to long heating and exposure at over +1000 °С, and still were dismantled without any difficulties after that. In addition, efficiency of using this paste was proved by industrial operating experience.
MODENGY 4006 is a Teflon paste for metal-to-metal and metal-to-polymer friction pairs. It has superfine polytetrafluorethylene, synthetic base oil, and functional additives in its composition (see Fig.5).
This paste is intended to solve the following tasks: to prevent scuffing and jamming, to increase tightness of fixed connections, to damp noise and vibrations, to provide minimal friction in heavily loaded pairs.

MODENGY 4006 is a white product compatible with most of plastics. It has high load-carrying capacity and anti-scoring properties, it performs a sealing function, prevents stick-slip motion.
MODENGY pastes are available in 800 GR (1 KG) Cans, in 4 (6) KG Pails as well as in small 200 (250) GR tin cans.
