Closed and open cars are used to railway transportation of the bulk materials (such as dry cement, ammonium nitrate, etc.). To prevent the dry mixtures to stick to the inner surfaces of the containers, they are traditionally treated with epoxy compounds.

However, these materials frequently fail the tasks they are trusted with, and a lot of bulk product are found to remain on the cars walls after unload. Losses of the materials as well as the time costs to clean the cars are a significant issue for the cargo carriers. A solution for it was suggested by the Modengy company.

MODENGY anti-adhesion coatings create a dry slippery layer on the surfaces to be treated that doesn’t ‘attract’ the bulk material particles.

Tests have demonstrated that MODENGY coatings in comparison with the conventional epoxy resins reduce sticking dry mixtures to the inner walls of the cars by several times. This allows to make their unload process faster, and to cut down the cleaning time.
