Vane pumps are applied in hydraulic systems of the industrial equipment to pump operating fluid, and to create required pressure. Functioning of the whole hydraulic system depends on their stable running, that is why reliability, maintaining productivity, and possibility of long-term trouble-free operating without unscheduled shutdowns are especially important for such units.

The vane pump cover forms the end wall of its working cavity, and is directly involved in the mechanism operating. When the rotor is rotating, the plates are sliding along its inner side dividing the cavity into chambers where suction and discharge of the fluid occur in sequence.

In process of operating, continuous contact with the plates leads to gradual wearing of the operating surface of the cover. As a result, gaps between the parts get wider, and internal flow-overs of the fluid happen.

This has a negative impact on the performances of the equipment: pump capacity decreases, and service lifetime of its components is shortened.

In order to reduce friction and intensity of wearing, MODENGY 1014 anti-friction coating is applied onto the work surfaces of the covers.

This product forms a protective anti-friction layer on the surface that reduces friction while the plates are sliding, and decelerates wearing of the covers. Due to this, the machining gap between the pump elements remains within the specified limits longer. Additionally, the coating protects the metal surfaces against corrosion.

Application of MODENGY 1014 on the vane pump covers enables to…

  • reduce intensity of wearing of the work surfaces
  • maintain optimal machining gaps for longer
  • reduce internal fluid overflows
  • maintain pump capacity
  • provide corrosion protection for the components
  • extend service lifetime of the equipment

So, applying of MODENGY 1014 anti-friction coating helps improve reliability of the vane pumps operating, and extend service lifetime of their parts.
