In process of operating, the hydraulic cylinders of the lifting-and-shifting machines are repeatedly subjected to repairs and preventive maintenance.
To get access to the cavities of the hydraulic cylinders for the purpose of replacing the lip-type seals, repairing the rod, and the piston as well as to carry out other restorative, and diagnostic operations, it is necessary to dismantle the threaded connection of the liner.
Since this unit is subjected to assembly and disassembly multiple times, the issue of galling arises. This makes dismantling difficult, and the following re-mounting can become impossible as a result of breaking the threaded surface integrity.
In order to provide trouble-free multiple mounting and dismantling of the hydraulic cylinders threaded connections, MODENGY 1002 anti-friction solid-film coating based on molybdenum disulfide is used.
It forms a thin layer of dry lubrication on the surface of the thread that insulates its turs from direct contact, prevents their seizure, jamming, and galling.
Besides, MODENGY 1002 prevents corrosion attack centers from appearing on the treated surfaces because it has good anti-corrosive properties (> 160 hours, according to ISO 9227 standard).
This coating is easy to apply onto the parts out of the aerosol can, and it requires no heating in a kiln to get cured, that’s way it can be used under conditions of the repairs site. The most efficient way to use this product is apply it on the stage of producing the components, that is at the first assembly of the threaded connection.
MODENGY 1002 enables to make disassembly of the hydraulic cylinders threaded connections easier, to cut down the time to carry out maintaining of the devices, and to extend service lifetime of the thread.
