The manufacturers of the equipment for oil-producing enterprises appealed to Modengy technical support with the problem of increased wear of the well pumps hydro protection supports.
This equipment operates under conditions of ultrahigh loads and speeds, so that the ordinary lubricating materials (such as oils, greases, etc.) that were used at the enterprise before, failed to manage their tasks: the oil film intended to separate the interacting surfaces of the sliding thrust bearings failed to retain on them, and thus required constant renewing.
The conventional anti-friction materials (for example, bronze) could not provide the required friction coefficient and wear resistance values either.
The Modengy engineers have suggested using MODENGY 1007 anti-friction solid-film coating for the thrust bearings. It effectively separates the mating surfaces, provides stable operation of the unit even during a ‘oil starving’ period, and reduces friction down to 5 times.
After application of MODENGY 1007 anti-friction solid-film coating, the service temperature of the well pumps sliding bearings has reduced by 2 times, while their service life has significantly extended.
