Supporting structures are one of the most important elements in the oil pipeline systems. All the loads that the pipes are exposed to are compensated with the help of these two elements exactly, and are transferred onto the bearing structures or into the ground. That’s why reliability of the main line is directly depends on the quality
fasteners and protection.
In the course of time, the supporting structures get worn being exposed to high loads and temperature expansion and cause corrosion and scuffing forming. All these factors lead to the situation when the supports fail to function in a proper way. This generates risk of breaking down a certain pipeline section right up to the pipe break.
For the purpose of extending service lifetime of the oil supports, and protecting them against scuffing and corrosion, the Modengy engineers recommend MODENGY 1002 anti-friction solid-film coating developed by the Russian Modengy company.MODENGY 1002 form a thin dry lubricating layer that fills in the microroughnesses cavities. Such coating enlarges the supporting area and load-carrying capacity of the surfaces, reduces friction coefficient down to by 5 times, and provides superior protection against scuffing.
In the course of testing, it is revealed that MODENGY 1002 anti-friction solid-film coating has significantly reduced surface wear. The service temperature range (-210 °C...+320 °C) completely meets the appropriate operation conditions of the oil supports, while resistance to water wash-out, and to chemically aggressive media enables to use this materials without any fear for the structures safety. The experts also remarked the low consumption of the coating, and a convenient way of applying out of an aerosol can.
The technology of MODENGY anti-friction solid-film coating applying has proved its effectiveness, and is used now at oil supports laying and maintenance.
