MODENGY anti-friction solid-film coating is applied onto the brake disks that the wind power plants structure includes.

At the initial stage of operating, scores appeared on the metal parts in process of friction. Besides, high friction coefficient impacted wear resistance and service lifetime of the units.

Application of the coating has successfully solved the issue of scores forming, increased reliability and extended term of operating the wind power plant brake mechanisms.

According to the customer, control disassembly has demonstrated that the coating perfectly meets to proclaimed characteristics: no scores nor other damages were detected after the tests carried out and dismantling the units, and mechanisms moving in process of operating was smooth, without jerks and jamming.

MODENGY coatings have high compression strength and low shear strength, as a result their dry friction coefficient achieves values of only a few hundredths at contact pressures that commensurate with the yield point of the material of the base.

These coatings do not wash out, evaporate, nor squeeze out of the friction zone at high contact loads unlike the conventional greases.

These products require no frequent renewal, and can even perform as lifetime lubrication what is very important for critical units of the wind power plants as maintaining them can be difficult because of their remoteness and location at high altitude.

The solid lubrication technology is one of the best solutions to extend term and reliability of operating of the wind power plants units, and the other plants with similar operational conditions.
