Mr. Konstantin Bukhovtsov, an Modengy’s engineer, has visited the Russian enterprise on producing oil-and-gas equipment for the purpose of discussing the current and future joint projects, and MODENGY coatings testing.
In order to protect the threaded connections of the oil-and-gas devices against damages, to make their mounting and dismantling easier, MODENGY 1002 anti-friction solid-film coating based on molybdenum disulfide has been selected.
It cures without heating in a kiln, and creates a thin steady layer on the parts that separates the thread turns and hinder their direct contact, seizures, and damages even at great tightening torques.
The joint tests for the number of screwings of the threaded connections treated with MODENGY 1002 coating have been held on the specific test bench.
After the positive test results have been gained, the representatives of both companies have outlined plans for their further cooperation, discussed relevant tasks in the field of extending service lifetime of the equipment.
