Choosing a lubricating material for equipment operating at low and cryogenic temperatures is done taking into account a wide number of specific requirements. Most compounds can lose their lubricating ability when service temperatures decrease: the compounds get solid or crystallized what leads to failure of the equipment units.

The most suitable lubricating materials for such operational conditions are anti-friction coatings. They form a thin layer of solid lubrication with high service properties that contain no liquid components on the parts.

However, their curing mode features - need in heating and exposing the parts treated with the coating in a kiln – can become a limitation for using them, especially when carrying out repair work.

Application of MODENGY 1026 coating based on molybdenum disulfide enables to overcome this limitation. It is applied by the method of spraying (including out of an aerosol can), and cures at room temperature.

MODENGY 1026 up-to-date solid-film coating is operable in liquid nitrogen, oxygen, helium at down to -150 °С. It has application prospects in the liquid nitrogen supply systems friction units, specialty machinery, and other equipment operating at low and cryogenic temperatures.

This product is characterized by low friction coefficient, record high anti-corrosive properties among the coatings curing at room temperature, long service lifetime.

Use of MODENGY 1026 'cold' cure coating is effective both at equipment production, and at carrying out repair work. It makes running-in between the interacting surfaces easier, reduces friction and wear, maintain high energy efficiency of the units at low temperatures in cooling agents medium.
