Operating the nowadays pipelines implies controlling stop valves and variable valves by means of mechanization and automation. For this purpose, such devices are equipped with electrical drives including worm reducers.
Taking into account its constructive features, the worm wheel of these reducers is always made of the soft nonferrous metals. High cost of these materials make the manufacturers seek for the ways of optimization the structure and the fittings production technology to keep, and frequently to improve all performance properties.
The Modengy engineers have offered the solution that enables to abandon using expensive worm wheel made of bronze in the electrical drive reducer structure, and to replace it with the wheel made of ordinary structural steel.
In order to provide the required characteristics and properties to such items, MODENGY 1005 anti-friction solid-film coating is applied onto the surface of the reducer elements.Operating the reducers with steel worm wheels has demonstrated that anti-friction coating in the 'wheel-worm' friction pair effectively reduces friction and wear, and also reliably protects the parts against corrosion.
Due to using MODENGY 1005, cost of the pipeline valves and variable valves has been significantly reduced, and reliability of their operation has been improved.
