The specialists of the enterprises on mounting the casing and pump-compression pipes for oil-and-gas wells often face the issue of damaging the clutches thread. The Modengy engineers got down to solve it.
Analysis of the pipe structures operation conditions, and lubricating materials composition used to maintain them has allowed make the following conclusions.
The conventional thread greases and pastes:
- Can’t provide the stable friction coefficient in the thread, so constant torsion torque correction is needed at its tightening
- Form a sticky layer on the thread turns, and abrasive particles stick onto it
- Require repeated applying at every next pipe assembling
- Impact on the natural environment in a harmful way (especially while being use in aqueous medium), since it contains lead, and other harmful components
For the purpose of preventing the problem described above, the Modengy experts have recommended to replace the ordinary greases with MODENGY 1002 coating.
Experience of using this product on the clutches of the casing pipes and pump-compressor pipes has enabled to reveal its obvious advantages such as it creates a dry lubricating layer on the thread turns which attracts no dust and contaminations; the coating provides a steadily low friction coefficient and threaded profile protection at screwing the clutch together; the layer retains its wholeness even after multiple dismantling of the pipe structures.
