The mining equipment is used to extract minerals, constructing underground facilities, and holding the other underground works.

Advanced equipment enables to mechanize basic processes of mine working including coal-face destructing, rocks mass gowling, its unloading, uploading, transporting, and hollows drilling in hard rocks. For this purpose, tunnel complexes are used.

The parts of these machines are subjected to high loads and friction as well as exposed to corrosion destruction as a result of functioning under adverse conditions. Dusted environment, chemical liquids impact, and other environmental aspects significantly decrease service lifetime of the equipment units.

To extend service term and reliability of machines operating, a mining equipment producer addressed to the Modengy company for selecting anti-frictional solid-film coating for the metal sliding elements of doors and case of the control stations of the rotor heading machines, and heading-and-cleaning combines.

To solve the issue of increased friction and wear as well as to provide corrosion protection, MODENGY 1002 coating based on molybdenum disulfide was selected.

It has excellent lubricating and anti-corrosive properties, needs no renewing, and effectively operates in dusted environment without accumulating small particles in the units.

Possibility of applying the coating out of an aerosol can, and curing of this product at room temperature have also become the advantages for the customer.

The producer has remarked that MODENGY 1002 coating (quote) ‘manages the task of reducing friction perfectly as well as protects doors and the case against corrosion’ (end of the quote).
