Pneumatic systems used in the railway stock are operated under various climate conditions, and thus are subjected to wear fast.
When oil-water sludge (mixture of compression oil and condensate) builds up in the system, it lead to the situation when friction force between the contact surfaces, especially in the disk valve shank end zone rises abruptly, and as a result the parts start being exposed to oxidation and corrosion.
Due to destabilization of the safety valve trigger moment, the compressed air supply issues arise. The Modengy engineers have found the way how to reduce friction and keep the valve load carrying capacity while operating under conditions of the alternating loads, and that is with МODENGY 1002 anti-friction solid lubricating coating.
Use of this coating allows to reduce risk of the safety valve failure, as well as to protect the main locomotive reservoirs against damage in case of pressure regulators failure.
Due to forming a solid lubricating layer, scuffing and burrs forming on the mating surfaces of the shank end and the body stops. As a result service lifetime of the unit increases while risk of the valve jamming and failure tends to zero.
