For the purpose of prompt examination of the internal surface of graphite stacking, fuel and other channels at the nuclear power stations, the television system allowing to receive high-quality image was developed.
It consists of a radiation-resistant chamber, a manipulator that lowers filming equipment down to 25 meters depth, devices to control the system.
The radiation-resistant chamber body is made of stainless steel. In the threaded connections of such material higher friction is observed that leads to risk of seizure, and plastic deformation of the thread turns, jamming of the damaged sections even at moderate loads.
The manufacturer of the diagnostic equipment for nuclear stations has found efficient solution for these issues – use of MODENGY 1066 coating.
It forms a thin separating film on the threaded parts of the bodies that hinders direct contact of thread turns.
Due to this scuffing forming, and other damages of the parts, jamming, and seizure are prevented.
MODENGY 1066 coating neither changes nor loses its features under condition of long exposure to radiative emission, high temperature, and moisture unlike the classical thread lubricating materials.
MODENGY 1066 is applied onto preliminary prepared thread surface by the standard painting methods, and gets polymerized in process of holding in a kiln.
Due to using this product, easy mounting and dismantling of the diagnostic equipment connections is provided.
