Capability of the robot devices to ‘see’ and interpret what they have seen is more than relevant today.

So called computer (or technical) vision integrates cameras, peripheral or Cloud computing, software, and artificial intelligence. This enables the machines to identify and distinguish the objects, watch them, choose the required ones.

The computer vision systems are used to recognize faces, read barcodes, check the items, etc. The robot-manipulators that are able to 'see' are getting more and more implemented to the industry:  it´s their help that machines and automated lines are fed with the required items.

To enable the complex robot devices require no maintenance, the Modengy company has suggested using the anti-friction solid-film coating at their production. One of them – MODENGY 1014 – is already used to treat sliding bearings and gear drives in the robot-manipulators with computer vision.

MODENGY 1014 prevents stick-slip motion of the parts, protects them against corrosion, reduces friction and wear of the mating surfaces. The coating is resistant to aggressive substances exposure, and stays operable in dusty environments.

Due to highly simple technological way of applying this material, parts treatment take no much time and require no specialty equipment to be engaged.
