The specialists of the Russian defense enterprise who addressed to the Modengy company for getting a coating applied onto the sliding guideways and pushers of the molds have shared their successful experience of using these coatings.
These parts are operated at high loads and temperatures, metal items are subjected to scuffing and seizures under such conditions.
The customer defined the following task – to provide stable functioning of the sliding guideways and pushers of the molds during 50,000 operation cycles. At the MODENGY Engineering Center, MODEGNY 1005 anti-friction solid-film coating based on molybdenum disulfide having high load-carrying capacity was applied onto the elements surface.
At the present, those items coated with MODENGY 1005 coating have withdrawn 100,000 operation cycles, and at the same time have retained their operational properties, and keep functioning in the equipment of that enterprise. The customer had remarked that due to using this product, time for downtime of the equipment has cut down, and its productivity has increased.
