Difficulties at spark plugs dismantling is a common issue at maintaining engines.
In process of operating under conditions of long exposure to high temperatures and loads, the spark plugs threaded parts stick to the cylinder block. It is especially notable on the high-capacity engines, for example the gas-turbine ones.
It takes a lot of time to unscrew a ‘stuck’ spark plug as it requires to pour the parts with the penetrating liquid to let them get loosen a bit, and to leave them stay so for a while. However, even after that it not always gets possible to disassemble the connection. The great issue is when the part breaks off, that is one of its fragments remains inside the cylinder block what prevents a new spark plug from installing.
Use of MODENGY 4001 solid-film paste on the stage of mounting the spark plugs enables to avoid such aversive consequences.
This paste has low friction coefficient, high heat resistance, long service life. It provides longterm separation of the surfaces excluding sticking and seizing at high temperatures and loads. The spark plugs get easy to dismantle even after long operating and ill-timed replacement.
This paste is applied in a thin layer by using a brush or a spatula.
It effectively protects the threaded connections and other units containing metal-to-metal pairs, and provides long workability and reliable operating of these units.
