The article titled Tribotechnical Properties of the Friction Surfaces Treated with the Solid Anti-Friction Coatings has been published in the latest issue of The Fundamental Problems of Engineering and Technology scientific and technical journal that is included to the Higher Attestation Commission list.

The article presents analysis of the approaches to researching the anti-friction solid-film coatings, and realizing some of them, the results of the experimental studies of the ‘steel -to- MODENGY anti-friction coatings’ friction pairs, does comparisons, are makes appropriate conclusions.

Also, the results of the tribotechnical tests of MODENGY coatings at the manufacturer in Bryansk as well as at the independent tribotechnical laboratory at the plant manufacturing sliding bearings in the PRC in order to confirm the indicators proclaimed by the manufacturer are drawn in that paper.

The authors of this work are the Candidates and the Doctors of Technical Sciences from The Orel State University, Mr. Maxim I. Prudnikov, the Candidate of Technical Sciences and the General Director of Modengy (LLC), the heads and engineers of the Shuangfei company, Zhejiang company on producing oil-free bearings (CJSC) where those studies of the solid-film coatings were held.

The test results described in the article prove marked decrease of friction coefficient when MODENGY coatings were applied onto the samples in comparison with the test results on the steel-to-steel friction pairs that were used as the basic ones, namely from 0.3 … 0.4 (without coating) up to 0.093 (being treated with MODENGY 1006 coating).
