One of the leading enterprises in the field of space exploration has tested and implemented MODENGY anti-friction solid-film coating based on molybdenum disulfide into structure of their items.
In space, friction occurs in the conditions of deep vacuum, high and extremely low temperatures, radiation, and other adverse factors. Under such conditions, metals while contacting are subjected to cold seizure which causes machinery failures. Conventional lubricating materials lose their efficiency in the space equipment, that is why solution of the issue is to use solid lubricants.
The Modengy's engineers offered the customer a ‘simple’ solution to lubricate and protect the interacting large-scale units in the form of a ‘cold’ cured coating in an aerosol can.
Application convenience, alongside with high efficiency under extreme operational conditions, and longer service lifetime, is an important advantage of the MODENGY coating in comparison with the other compounds suitable to be used in cosmic space but requiring heating to get cured.

MODENGY molybdenum disulfide coating has passed all required tests, and then has successfully fulfilled its functions at launching useful load into outer space.
This product will continue to be used to provide workability of the spacecraft friction units at launching them to the orbit.
