The insulated pipes for heat-, water-, and for gas supply pipelines are covered with a protective film of polyethylene to protect the items against outer impact factors, and for the purpose of improving strength of the structure. Such jackets are often connected by a method of soldering – by melting the end areas, and then matching them together.
Metal heating elements are used for that. Temperature must reach +250 °C or higher to melt the polymer material.
The typical issue at producing insulated pipes is sticking and carbon deposits of melted polymer onto the heating element. As a result, the joint quality gets worse, and need in frequent cleaning the parts from the materials remnants arises.
In order to prevent polyethylene sticking onto the device surface, MODENGY 1007 anti-adhesive coating is used. It is applied by a thin layer on the stage of the equipment production, and gets polymerized at heating in a kiln.
Due to the excellent separating features of the product, any contact between the jacket and the metal element is eliminated.
A smooth layer of the coating contributes to improving efficiency of the pipes' polyethylene film soldering process, and to reducing of time and financial costs for cleaning the parts.
