A car while moving experiences frontal resistance, that is the force caused by contacting and friction of its body against air flow. The main function of spoilers at trucks is reducing this impact.
As soon as the streamlined elements are set, the van gets smoother forms, and as a result of this aerodynamicsinfluencing the speed qualities and fuel consume improves.
The advantages of using spoilers at trucks includes:
- Fuel saving due to frontal resistance reduction during moving
- Car agility improvement
- Course-keeping ability improvement
- Noise reduction in the truck cab
- Awning's service life extension (if it's available)
- Elimination of the whirls entraining dirt towards the doors
The plastic fairings are the most frequently used since they are light and lasting.
The manufacturers of spoilers of fiberglass reinforced plastic face the acute issue of sticking the items tomoulds. It makes extracting the completed parts harder. This leads to damaging the products, and increasing the defective items quantity.
MODENGY PTFE - A20 separating coating is used to provide stable operation for equipment on producing truck
fairings. Due to presence of polytetrafluorethylene in its composition, this product has anti-adhesive properties, prevents sticking plastic and fiberglass reinforced plastic to the moulds. This makes the process of extracting theitems out of the moulds easier, and excludes damaging the parts, and appearing defective items.
MODENGY PTFE - A20 is technologically simple and convenient to apply by spraying method out of an aerosol canor by using MODENGY M1 - 250 spray gun.
In addition to aerosols cans, this anti-friction solid-film coating is available in 200g plastic capsules, 600g tincans, and 4.5kg tin pails.
The applied agent cures at room temperature within 30 minutes. After its polymerization, a strong separatinglayer of translucent colour is formed on the mould surface that doesn’t soil the completed item.
