The Modengy company has presented MODENGY&nsbp;1072, a new anti-friction solid-film coating oriented on applications in the most loaded friction units of the modern machinery. This product has been created on the basis of graphite and meets the relevant requirements of the engine and machinery engineering industries towards parts operating reliability and stability.

In course of designing MODENGY 1072, operational conditions of the automotive machinery piston-cylinder group were taken into account. In the zones where the parts operate at the edge of possibility of a liquid lubricant, this coating takes over the functions of protection against wear, friction reduction, and provides softer and faster running-in of the components. It is especially important at high temperatures and loads where conventional oils and greases lose their efficiency.

The product is initially intended for industrial use with application on screen printing machines that are in demand in the automotive components mass production. Besides, this compound is characterized by a gentle effect on technological equipment which enables to cut down costs for equipment maintaining as well as reduced consumption at applying on the screen-printing lines.

According to the results of the first implementations, the coating already received positive reviews from manufacturers operating in the automotive industry.

At the same time, the developers have also provided for a more universal usage scenario. MODENGY 1072 can be applied by the method of spraying out after getting the agent viscosity reduced with MODENGY 3015 solvent. This solution made the coating available not only for the large plants but also for a wide range of consumers.

The application field of the new material in not limited by the pistons. The coating fits for the units with metal-to-metal friction pairs including bearings, sliding guideways, shaft inserts, spline joints, plungers of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Besides, MODENGY 1072 can be used in the units filled with oil increasing their increasing their stability in emergency operating modes.

The new coating enlarges the Modengy's product line created to extend service lifetime and improve reliability of the friction units of the up-to-date machinery.
