Extending operational lifetime of a driveshaft is a relevant task for the manufacturers of automotive components as well as for the service centers and repairing shops.

The driveshafts operate under conditions of dynamic shock loads, vibrations; dust and water are getting into the unit while cross-country moving what causes wear and corrosion of the parts, in particular, the splined joint.

An efficient way to extend service term of the units was suggested by the Modengy company that has released MODENGY 1026 anti-friction solid-film coating with record high anti-corrosive properties and wear resistance.

Application of the coating at driveshafts production gives the automotive manufacturers possibility to reduce clearance in the splined joint having reduced it to zero.

Due to providing minimal gap, dynamic shock loads (beating) get significantly lower, and risk of fine abrasive particles from environment getting into the units is also reduced.

In process of running-in, this coating forms optimal friction surface micro geometry, provides easy sliding of the parts along each other, enable to achieve maximal service lifetime of the splined joint.

Applying the coating at repairing driveshaft provides efficient lubrication for the parts, and protection against wear and corrosion as a layer of the dry solid lubricant neither gets washed nor evaporates out of the unit.

MODENGY 1026 is convenient to apply out of an aerosol can or a spraying gun, and it can get cure without heating in a kiln what gives an opportunity to use it both at the production sites, and in repairing shops and vehicle sheds wih no need in obtaining and installing additional equipment to apply and dry the coating.

The anti-friction solid-film coating provides smooth going for the splined joint parts, longterm corrosion protection for the treated surfaces, makes driveshafts maintenance easier due to long service term without need in frequent refreshing.
