Threaded parts are used everywhere – from high-tech equipment of industrial complexes to children’s toys.

For the purpose of creating screw surface on workpieces, cutting tools are used including screw-thread dies, thread taps, rack-type tools, cutters, diestocks, etc.

They are selected based on parts and screw surface type. For instance, thread taps are used to cut internal thread while screw-thread dies - for external.

To provide stable and easy tools functioning, oils are usually used.

However, at cutting threads on the parts made of stainless or high-strength steels, a number of issues arise.

The given constructive materials are rather hard to be treated by mechanical methods. Besides, in process of creating screw surface, metal is galling the tool causing damages on the screw turns, and service lifetime of the thread taps gets shorter.

To solve these issues, MODENGY 4002 solid-lubricating paste with high content of molybdenum disulfide is applied onto the workpieces made of high-strength steels, and the tools for thread cutting.

It efficiently separates the surfaces of a workpiece and a tool, and in this way hinder their seizure, minimizes friction, and makes cutting process easier.

Use of MODENGY 4002 solid-lubricating paste enables to gain clean screw surface minimizing amount of damage of workpieces at cutting, and extends service lifetime of tools.
