The manufacturer of towing industrial carts used at the locomotive repair depot and shops of the rail carriage enterprises has improved structure of the wheel units due to using MODENGY 4002 solid-film paste.
This paste with high anti-scoring properties impregnates the felt rings separating the surfaces of the fixed axis and the rotating wheel counterpart. The rings also perform sealing function preventing the lubricating material from leaking out of the bearing units and protecting it against contamination.
This paste demonstrates high efficiency in comparison with the lubricating materials used to impregnate the felt before.
MODENGY 4002 reduces friction between the interacting parts in process of wheel rotating relative to the axil fixed on the cart, improves their reliability and extends service lifetime.
The carts with the felt rings impregnated with MODENGY 4002 have already been implemented into operating, and function on a standard basis in the shops of the transport enterprises.
Impregnating the felt rings with MODENGY 4002 paste at assembling the auxiliary industrial carts is now included to the design documentation.
Due to implementing MODENGY 4002 into mass production of the carts, high operability and long service lifetime of the wheel units are provided.
