The works on applying MODENGY 1007 anti-friction solid-film coating onto the working surfaces of the compressor plants gas-and-piston engines pistons have completed at the Modengy Engineer Center.
After a certain while of operating, the plant anti-friction coating on the parts has worn. For the purpose of restoring a protective layer on the pistons, the company operating these compressor plants has addressed to the Modengy enterprise.
To protect the pistons against wear and scuffing under conditions of oil starvation, to improve reliability, and to extend service lifetime of the gas-and-piston engines, MODENGY 1007 anti-friction solid-film coating based on graphite was applied to the trial lot of the parts.
It has high anti-scuffing properties, high load-carrying capacity, and high wear-resistance, low friction coefficient, it doesn’t destroy at contact with lubricating fluids.
Performance testing in the compressor plants has demonstrated that this anti-friction coating effectively reduces friction, and provides longterm operability of the pistons.
After that, a large batch of the large-size pistons with worn plant coating has been delivered to the Modengy Engineer Center to restore the anti-friction layer.
Use of MODENGY 1007 enables to extend service lifetime of the compressor equipment engines pistons by protecting their surfaces against damages and wear at lack of oil.
