The pipeline fitting parts intended for transporting aggressive media need in using a chemically resistant coating.
It is intended to isolate metal surfaces from direct contact with the aggressive substances. In such way, the coating prevents premature failure of the fittings parts because of operating under adverse conditions.
MODENGY 1014 coating based on polytetrafluorethylene and molybdenum disulfide that was selected by the Modengy company’s engineers to solve this task has high chemical resistance, anti-friction and anti-corrosive properties.
It was applied onto the internal surfaces of the parts at the Modengy Engineering Center, and after that the elements were sent to the customer.
Prior implementing it into mass production, the producer decided to hold a number of tests: in water, at exposure to climatic factors during several months, check for resistance to mechanical damages.
The customer has highly assessed protective properties of MODENGY 1014, and remarks that after all the experiments this coating has remained its wholeness.
Testing the parts treated with the coating under conditions of the aggressive media to be transported is supposed to become the closing stage. As the customer wished, this product was applied onto the internal surfaces of the elements once more.
