One of the key components of the power generating systems are petal gas-dynamic bearings (PGDBs) providing support to the rotating elements, and friction minimization.
PGDBs operate under conditions of temperature fluctuations and increased loads. These factors lead to wearing the parts, and to decreasing operational efficiency of the micro turbines, or even to halt of their functioning.
MODENGY 1071 anti-friction solid-film coating was designed by the Modengy company specifically for petal gas-dynamic bearings.
This coating has already been tested and implemented into mass application by the PGDB manufacturers. MODENGY 1071 provides stable and low friction coefficient within wide contact pressures range.
The coating protects the working surfaces of the bearings against wear at the moments of the micro turbines starting and stopping, providing their reliable and long operating even during transitional modes.
In course of the multiple comparative test, it was revealed that MODENGY 1071 coating for petal gas-dynamic bearing is an effective alternative for the imported materials are being used in this industry.
