The remotely piloted flying devices (RPFD) are the artificial portable objects that move over air without any crew aboard.

Depending on the way of control, there are the following RPFDs distinguished: automated ones (operating according to the program preliminary downloaded into its on-board computer) and remotely piloted devices (controlled by a human with a stationary or portable remote control).

The drones are getting more and more popular both in cities and beyond them during the recent decades. These devices help to do the following actions:

  • to monitor the traffic situation in the streets;
  • to control the fire-proof situation in the woods;
  • to assess danger of spring floods;
  • to hold spectrozonal aerophotography;
  • to analyze the oil- and gas pipelines current state;
  • to provide remotely controlled security of facilities;
  • to deliver loads;
  • to share Internet access, and do a lot of other various actions.

Reliable operation of the remotely piloted flying devices greatly depends on their moving elements state.

Modengy company has suggested the RPFD designers its own solution. MODENGY PTFE‑A20 and MODENGY 1001 anti-friction solid-film coatings are applied onto the drones slide friction units. The dry protective layer got as a result of this reduces wear of the contacting surfaces, improves operation reliability, and extends service lifetime of the flying devices in general.

The technology of applying these materials is easy to implement since any method for painting will do. The single treatment of the items is enough to create the units and mechanisms that require no further maintenance.
