The employees of the Orel State University named after Ivan S. Turguenev have gained a patent for the way of making slide bearings with possibility of diagnostics of the working surface wear limit value (Patent No. RU 2783323 C1). MODENGY 1003 anti-friction coating was used as a part of the invention.
The core of the way is creating grooves and caves on the working surface of a slide bearing where wear indicators made of insulants, and conducting materials, and temperature sensors are installed into. They are connected to the measuring system by means of passages.

After that, MODENGY 1003 anti-friction solid-film coating based on molybdenum disulfide and graphite is applied onto the slide bearing working surface.
This product has low friction coefficient, high load-carrying capacity, long service lifetime.
MODENGY 1003 is applied onto a cleaned and degreased surface of a bearing in 3 layers with drying time during 15 minutes after each of them. The final drying period lasts not less than 120 minutes at room temperature.
After the coating has cured, its running-in is done by inserting it into a cylinder bearing lap rotating around its own axis. After that thickness of the anti-friction layer decreases by 20 to 30 %.
Inventing the way of making a slide bearing with possibility of diagnostics of the working surface wear limit value enables to prognose a bearing residual life.
