To provide stable operating of the reducers, their sliding bearings must have high strength, their mounting and dismantling must be easy, they must fix the shaft in axial direction.

Lubrication system in reducer is usually arrange so that to provide liquid or semi-liquid friction of the parts. Lubrication takes heat and wear products out of the unit, damps dynamic loads, and protects the parts against corrosion.

Lubricating materials must meet the operational requirements of the units, and they are selected taking into account temperature mode of parts operating, load values, external environment factors that influence.

Conventional liquid lubricants and greases are not always able to reduce wear of the reducers bearings effectively. They don’t withstand temperature drops (-60 to +250 °С), get shifted off the area where they were applied at high contact pressures, get oxidized losing their lubricating properties, accumulate dust and wear particles (in open reducers), require constant control and refreshing.

If the lubricating material is selected in a wrong way it causes accelerated wear, and mechanisms jamming, need in stopping and repairing the structure.

As the most efficient and durable solution MODENGY 1005 and MODENGY 1066 anti-friction solid-film coatings based on graphite and molybdenum disulfide are being used more and more often.

They create a wear-resistant dry layer on the parts that has low friction coefficient, and high load-carrying capacity.

These coatings are applied onto prepared surface of the elements on the stage of their production, and they polymerize at heating in a kiln. Single application of the agents is enough for long-term equipment operating without need in its maintenance.

Due to use of MODENGY products, service lifetime of the bearings significantly extends, and long trouble-free operation of reducers is provided.
