A globe valve is a type of the pipeline fittings where operational medium flow is locked or passed on by turning the sphere-shaped element with a through hole.

The valve plug is put inside the saddle, and is structurally connected with the handled to turn the valve into open or closed position.

In closed position, the medium flow is locked by the plug walls while in open position it goes through the through hole of the part.

The globe valves, due to their structure, high reliability, and tightness, small dimensions, are used to move the hydrocarbon raw material as well as in the gas- and water supply systems, etc.

To provide easy turn of the globe, and to reduce wear of the elements, the greases and compounds are used.

However, to improve units tightness, and to extend their service lifetime as much as possible, it is recommended to use anti-friction solid-film coatings, the mentioned means and the products, implementing the solid lubrication technology.

MODENGY 1066 coating based on molybdenum disulfide and graphite is applied onto the globe valves plugs. Its lubricating layer reduces friction and decreases effort at turning the globe.

After the coating gets polymerized at heating, a thin dry layer having high load-carrying capacity, and wear resistance is formed on the parts. It needs no refreshing for the entire service lifetime of the pipeline fittings.

Use of MODENGY 1066 anti-friction solid-film coating enables to provide reliable and long-term operating of the globe valve, and to lower the effort required to turn the globe.
