Making package of corrugated cardboard is a multi-stage technological process that requires involving a lot of equipment.
Automatic lines run at heavy loads with minimal breaks that’s why reliability of the basic mechanisms functioning is paid higher attention to.
One of the units requiring maintenance is a drive variator of the plant to produce package of corrugated cardboard. It is in charge of torque transmission, and consists of disks and a shaft.
To perform its function, the variator disk moves along the shaft neck, however, as a result of high friction between the conjugated elements, the process of the parts moving gets difficult. It causes enhanced scuffing of the contacting surfaced, and failure of the mechanism.
For the purpose of extending service lifetime of the plant drive variator, the anti-friction solid-film coatings from the Russian Modengy company are used. MODENGY 1014 is applied onto the shaft neck, while MODENGY 1005 is onto the variator disk surface conjugated to it.
Such integrated solution enables to minimize friction and wear of the elements, to make disk sliding along the shaft easier, to improve reliability of equipment running.
These products are applied onto the preliminary prepared surfaces of the parts by the standard painting methods, and polymerize at heating in a kiln.
Use of the anti-friction solid-film coating enables to extend service lifetime of parts and equipment significantly acting as life-time lubrication (that needs no refreshing for the entire service life term of the components).
