Spiral compressors are major working elements of the modern systems for conditioning indoor areas. They provide transfer of the working medium from the suction cavity to the delivering cavity.
Compressors consist of two metal spirals that are inserted one into another. The first part is fixed to stay static, the second one moves around it.
High loads, high moving rates, and intensive friction of the parts in process of operating lead to premature wear, and failure of the spirals. For the purpose of extending service lifetime of the elements fluorocarbon polymer is often used, however, such protection withstands no heavy loads, and gets worn fast.
More effective solution to extend service lifetime of a spiral compressor is to use MODENGY 1066 anti-friction solid-film coating based on molybdenum disulfide, and graphite. It provides reducing friction coefficient and wear of the unit due to creating a strong lubricating-and-separating layer on the elements.
MODENGY 1066 has high wear resistance and load-carrying capacity, due to what it protects the parts against scuffing for a long term.
The coating is applied by standard painting methods on the stage of spirals production, and gets polymerized at heating in a kiln. Service lifetime of the gained layer is equal to the parts operation period.
As a result of using MODENGY 1066, operation term of the spiral compressors extends, and reliability of their operating improves.
