The Russian amphibious aircrafts are used to hold rescue operations, the most commonly is while forest fire extinguishing.

Due to these ‘flying boats’, it makes possible to throw tonnes of water onto the hotbed of fire for the short while to effectively prevent fire spreading, and to eliminate the emergency situation.

These aircrafts operate on the altitude of 0 to 12,000 meters. Filling in their tanks with liquid is done both at the airfield, and at a water body while in slipping mode.

The amphibious aircrafts of Russian production have no analogues in the world by many features.

Considering complicated operational conditions, the units of the flying vehicles get worn prematurely. In particular, the sliding bushings of the amphibious aircrafts located in the untight, non-heated compartment are subjected to scuffing as a result of high friction of the mated surfaces, and corrosion.

To extend service lifetime of the parts, MODENGY 1066 anti-friction solid-film coating based on molybdenum disulfide and graphite is used.

It forms a wear-resistant layer on the bushings that reduces friction in the metal-to-metal pair, prevents corrosion centers of attack, and improves service term of the units.

This coating is applied by the standard painting methods onto preliminary prepared bushings surface, then is getting polymerized in a kiln at heating up to +220 °С within 35 minutes.

A dry strong layer of the product needs no refreshing for the entire service lifetime of the parts.

Due to application of MODENGY 1066 anti-friction solid-film coating, long and effective protection for the amphibious aircraft sliding bushings against impact of the negative environmental factors is provided what contributes to significant improving reliability and service lifetime of the elements.
