Pneumatic cylinders are used to transform energy of the compressed air into linear mechanical relocation, that is into piston rod motion.
Being exposed to the compressed air pressure, the piston located in the internal space of the pneumatic cylinder liner is sliding into direction of the medium feeding. Its return into initial position is performed due to inertial force or under impact of the return spring.
The polymer seals are installed onto the pneumatic cylinder piston to provide the system tightness. In process of operating high friction appears between the piston and the liner internal surface that leads to wear of the sealing elements, and impenetrability loss, that is air leakage.
To provide long trouble-free operating of the pneumatic cylinders it is required to minimize friction between the piston polymer seals and the liner walls.
For this purpose MODENGY 1014 anti-friction solid-film coating based on polytetrafluorethylene is used. It forms a resistant dry lubricating layer on the internal surface of the liner.
This product is applied onto the preliminary prepared surface of the parts by the standard painting methods, and get polymerized at heating in a kiln.
Due to use of the coating, wear of the polymer seals significantly reduces while reliability of pneumatic cylinder operating improves, even under aggressive operational conditions.
