A Russian manufacturer of various purpose optical-to-electronical systems has implemented MODENGY 1014 anti-friction solid-film coating based on molybdenum disulfide and polytetrafluorethylene into mass production of these items.
The purpose of using this product is to reduce friction at moving focusing objective lenses inside the optical instruments bodies, to decrease wear of the conjugated surfaces, and to provide corrosion protection.
High requirements on decentering within entire moving range of the objective lens have been taken into account at selecting a lubricating agent. Besides, possibility of creating a thin layer of the coating is important, as after applying it a specific gap between the parts must be complied.
This product is applied onto the seats of the parts made of aluminum alloy, and is operated in the closed tight units of the optical instruments. That’s why a long service lifetime of the lubricating material, absence of evaporation and oxidation are important to provide stable running of the parts.
MODENGY 1014 anti-friction solid-film coating meets all the requirements of the customer, and effectively performs its lubricating and protective functions. This has been proved by the tests at the optical instruments manufacturer’s.
