The fasteners of the nuclear power stations control systems function under extreme condition. Due to this, the threaded parts are subjected to scuffing even at non-high loads, fatigue strength of metal drops, and it gets fragile. Process of disassembling the connections gets virtually impossible, and their service lifetime shortens significantly.

Under conditions of deep vacuum, the parts get seized at the moment of screwing already, the elements get stuck and damaged at dismantling.

Conventional lubricating materials get destructed, and lose their properties being exposed to extreme condition. In vacuum, they shift off the area where they have been applied, get oxidized and evaporate fast polluting the surrounding space.

Use of MODENGY 1014 anti-friction solid-film coating based on polytetrafluorethylene and molybdenum disulfide provides easy fastener mounting and dismantling, preventing the thread from sticking, scuffing, galling and jamming, screwing moment stabilizing, friction reducing, and protecting against corrosion. This product is resistant towards extreme condition, it neither evaporates nor affects the created vacuum.

Polymerization of the coating takes place at heating up to +200 °С within 40 minutes. After its cure, a thin dry layer creates on the fastener surface that doesn’t affect significantly to dimensions of the parts and the thread turns.
