The manifolds are the elements of the car's inlet and outlet systems. The inlet manifolds are in charge of feeding the fuel mixture to the engine cylinders, and the outlet ones are to discharge the exhaust gases. The manifolds are connected with the cylinder block head by means of the fastening items.
One of the characteristic operational conditions of the ICE manifolds (especially the outlet ones contacting with the heated exhaust gases) is high temperature.
Dismantling of car's manifold to maintain it often becomes a very big issue. As a result of operating at heating for a long while, the fastening elements get stuck, what makes it impossible to unscrew them without using the laborious methods. The ordinary penetrating lubricants don't manage, then it causes the need to additionally heat the hard-to-reach area, or to cut off or to drill out the fastener.
In order to make the threaded connections easy to mounting and dismantle without forming scuffing or sticking, it is necessary to use high-temperature lubricating materials for fasteners having a long service lifetime. The compounds containing solid lubricating substances such as MODENGY 4002 solid-film paste based on molybdenum disulfide demonstrate the most effective results.
High anti-scoring properties and heat-resistance up to +450 °С enable MODENGY 4002 make mounting and dismantling of inlet and outlet manifolds fasteners of even the heavily loaded motors easier.
This paste is used on the stage of engine assembly at the manufacturing plant, or in process of replacing the fastener at the motor repairing.
It is enough to apply just some amount of this product by rubbing motions by using a brush or a spatula to provide long and efficient operating of the fastener, easy disassemble, and possibility to use the threaded items repeatedly.
