From October to November 2022, testing of MODENGY 4002 solid-film paste has been held at the territory of a well-known metallurgy enterprise.
This product is made on basis of highly dispersed molybdenum disulfide, mineral oil, and functional additives. It is intended to assemble, run-in, and lubricate heavy-loaded mechanisms.
MODENGY 4002 has high heat-resistance up to +450 °С (up to +650 °С at limited air access), high antiscuffing properties and load-carrying capacity, low friction coefficient, and long service lifetime.
As a part of the tests, the paste was used to reduce friction in the industrial equipment units, namely the chain transmissions of the lifters, as well as in bearings and slide guideways of the straightening-cutting machines.
The tests were holding at the load meeting the real-life operational conditions of the equipment. Temperature at bearing unit running was within +55 °С to +68 °С range.
The paste was tested for anti-frictional and antiscuffing properties, fluidity at exposure to elevated temperatures.
MODENGY 4002 has successfully passed the pointed tests, practicability of using it in the equipment units has been proved. The decision about further application of this paste to reduce friction and wear has been made.
