A large Russian manufacturer of pipeline components to transport oil and gas has held testing for MODENGY 4002 solid-film paste in the units of quarter-turn worm reducers.

The tests were held on the reducers fixed on the special stand. The required torque moment was installed on the torque spanner. The output torque was being measured with a dynamometrical measuring instrument.

Several types tests were carried out including the following: without lubricating material application, after treatment with MODENGY 4002 paste, with applying a grease, with paste followed by grease application.

According to the report on reducers tests, use of MODENGY 4002 solid-film paste effectively reduces friction, and enables to increase reducers efficiency coefficient by 10 to 20 % after running while of 100 cycles. The following applying a grease gives an additional efficiency factor increment.

MODENGY 4002 solid-film paste is a lubricating material with high content of molybdenum disulfide. It is characterized by low friction coefficient in a metal-to-metal pair, wide service temperature range, and high anti- scuffing properties. This paste suits in the optimal way to be used in the slow-speed, heavy loaded units to improve their reliability, and to extend their service lifetime.
