One of the methods of making aluminum pistons is hot forming. This is a highly productive process that is changing the size-shape factors of the heated workpiece in several planes under pressure.
The basic shaping elements of the metal hot forming equipment are matrixes and die punches. The former form the external surface of the item, and the latter do the internal one.
For pistons bulk forming, both the aluminum workpiece and the shaping tool are exposed to heating.
MODENGY 4002 solid-film paste based on molybdenum disulfide helps provide high quality of making the items, and production efficiency.
MODENGY 4002 solid-film paste improves quality of making aluminum pistons by the hot forming method
It makes the process of taking the piston off the die punch after forming easier, and prevents scuffing from forming on the internal surface of the item.
This paste is used both on the die punch, and on the part of the workpiece that is in contact with it. A thin layer of the product is applied by using a brush, a spatula, or a rag by rubbing-in movements.
Use of MODENGY 4002 anti-scuffing paste provides easy separating the finished items from the die parts, preventing defects from appearing on the surface, and improving products production quality.
