Railway cars wheel pairs are one of the most heavy-loaded units, train service safety depends on their reliability.
So that the wheel pairs disks and the axles rotate as a whole at moving, the wheels must be tightly fixed on the axle. For this purpose, they are connected with tension – at assembly, axle diameter exceeds hole size in the wheel.
Parts mounting is done by the method of press-fitting with hydraulic presses.
To provide quality assembly of wheel pairs, MODENGY 4002 solid-film past based on molybdenum disulfide is used.
It makes process of setting the axles into wheel holes easier, and improves smoothness of their inserting, prevents forming scores on the conjugated surfaces as well as efforts jumps during press-fitting.
Due to high concentration of solid lubricating substances in its composition, MODENGY 4002 is distinguished by very high antiscuffing properties and load-carrying capacity, low friction coefficient, great adhesion, and capacity to prevent stick-slip motion.
Efficiency of using the antiscuffing paste from the Modengy company has been proved by the results of wheel pairs press-fitting under control at the enterprise that is specialized on passenger transport mass production. At testing, MODENGY 4002 was used instead of the import lubricating pastes that were applied before.
The committee of testing has remarked that (quote) ‘wheel pairs press-fitting with use of MODENGY 4002 has passed in a regular mode. No scuffing or sharp effort jumps were observed, nor defects on the axle pre-wheel seat part of the axle were detected. After 24 hours passed after forming, tests for shear was held, the result was positive (no shear was revealed)’ (end of the quote)
MOENGY 4002 successfully replaces imported analogues, and is recommended to be used at passenger transport wheel pairs press-fitting.
