For the purpose of detecting and comparing corrosion resistance of the steel samples treated with different conservation compounds,the accelerated tests for corrosion in the artificial atmosphere, namely in the salt mist, have been held at the Modengy’s laboratory.
Three steel samples were prepared for each kind of the conservation compounds to be tested. Simultaneously, the samples that had subjected to no treatment were also tested.
The trials resulted in revealing the conservation compound providing the best value of resistance to corrosion according to ISO 9227 international standard.
The tests for resistance to corrosion for the conservation compounds, greases, coatings enable to detect efficiency of these materials under conditions close to those of the real environment.
