At the Department of Machines Maintenance of the Mordovsky National Research State University named after N.P. Ogaryov, the federal state budget institution of higher education (MNR SU named after N.P. Ogaryov, FSBI of HE), the Development of the Repairing Technology of the Vacuum-and-piston Type Dough Dividing Machines by Using the Electrical Discharge Machining Method, a candidate thesis, was written.
The purpose of that paper was to create a method to restore operability of the worn components of the dough dividing machines vacuum blocks.
Replacement of the worn parts requires much expenses while an efficient repairing technology of the components has not been designed before.
The parts restoring technology includes applying MODENGY PTFE-A20 anti-friction solid-film coating. It is applied onto the electric-spark coating thickness of which makes hundreds of micrometers.
The surfaces treated according to this developed technology were tested on the tribotechnical plant. Those tests helped establish that, due to MODENGY PTFE - A20 coating applying, the pre-scuffing withstood load increases by 20%, while friction coefficient and parts wear intensity reduces.
Average overhaul life of the dough dividing machines repaired according to the new technology has extended by 12% in comparison with the general average service lifetime.
