One of the most acute issues of packaging equipment functioning is polymer material sticking onto the edge-soldering elements in process of seam forming on the package.

Teflon tapes are often used as separating material on the heating devices. They are glass fabric on a glue base coated with an anti-sticking layer.

Besides short-term service life, and complex sticking process, the Teflon tapes have other drawbacks as well, such as significant limitations of application.

So, they can’t be used on the edge-soldering elements with complicated surface configuration as well as at heating above +260 °С.

Coatings based on polytetrafluorethylene are also used to maintain the edge-soldering equipment. They have long operational period, and can be used on the parts of any configuration, however, they have rather limited service temperature range.

A company whose production process includes packaging the items into a polymer material has faced the issue of selecting anti-sticking material for the edge-soldering elements.

The edge-solderers of this packaging equipment have complicated surface shape, and function at heating above +300 °С.

To solve this task on preventing polymer material from sticking, and carbon deposits forming, the specialists of the enterprise has addressed to the Modengy company.

Taking into account the operation conditions, MODENGY 1007 coating has been selected. It is applied onto the parts of any shape by the method of spraying out with no harm to surface configuration. The upper limit of its service temperature makes +350 °С, short overheating is also possible.

This coating forms a thin separating layer on the edge-soldering devices that doesn’t break heat exchange between the surfaces, and prevents packaging material from sticking onto the metal elements.
