Low-sized one-person aircrafts and sports planes are being equipped with the piston engines. In the most of the aircraft multi-cylinder aircraft engines are installed.

The pistons play great role in the structure of the aircraft power plants. They perform reciprocal motions relative to the cylinder internal surface, and provide air-fuel mixture letting in, compressing it, gaining energy, and letting out exhaust gas.

While pistons moving, high friction arises between their skirts and the cylinders internal surface. This is what causes parts wear, overheating, forming scores, cracks, and other damages.

To extend service lifetime of the aircraft engines, MODENGY 1003 and MODENGY 1007 anti-friction solid-film coatings are applied onto the piston skirts.

They form a resistant lubricating layer on the parts that reduces friction even at high loads onto the piston side surfaces while moving and changing its direction.

These coatings are applied by the standard painting methods onto the elements surface prepared in a specific way, and get polymerized at heating in a kiln.

After curing a strong separating layer is formed on the pistons that requires no renewing for the entire operation term of the aircraft engines.

Use of the anti-friction solid-film coatings enables to exclude forming scores and other damages on the power plants piston skirts, and to provide their long failure-free operation.
